ZIMBABWE & SOUTH AFRICA
FEB 2027
Go on an iconic Journey across Southern Africa stopping at the legendary Victoria Falls, then off to the beautiful Cape Town and finishing with a safari in one of the best wildlife areas of the continent,
THE VICTORIA FALLS - 2 TO 5 FEB (3 NIGHTS)
You’ll stay on the banks of the Zambezi River, inside Zimbabwe’s Zambezi National Park. Between outings, there’s time to sit by the water and watch for birds moving through the trees along the bank.
On a guided tour of Victoria Falls, you’ll follow rainforest paths to a series of viewpoints. You’ll hear the roar of the falls before you see them, and at some stops you can feel the spray rising from the gorge. Each viewpoint offers a different angle on the sheer width of the waterfall and the river rushing through the gorge below.
You’ll also head out on a game drive through the park, looking for wildlife in the woodland and along the water’s edge. A sunrise or sunset cruise gives you a different view of the Zambezi. As the boat moves along the river, look for hippos surfacing and birds perched on branches above the water.
CAPE TOWN: 5 TO 9 FEB (4 nights)
You’ll stay at a historic pink hotel tucked into leafy gardens at the foot of Table Mountain. It’s a quiet base for exploring Cape Town, with shaded paths for a stroll and a pool to come back to after a day out.
While you’re in the city, you can head up Table Mountain for views over the Atlantic when the weather is clear, then wander past the brightly painted houses of Bo-Kaap. Leave an afternoon free for tea in the hotel’s historic lounge, where warm scones, pastries and savoury bites are served to the sound of live piano.

Its many historic wine estates, characterized by classic Cape Dutch-style buildings with distinctive gables and thatched roofs, and massive vineyards date back centuries. Wine estates are bordered by the Hottentots Holland, the Franschhoek mountains and in the North by the Wemmershoekberg. The most popular and well-known are Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Paarl.
8 FEB: A JOURNEY INTO CAPE POINT
Bring your camera; we're headed for Cape Point at the southwestern tip of the Cape Peninsula, and the most spectacular views in the world. The drive there is just as inspiring, passing steep mountains', secluded coves and sweeping beaches, as well as villages and fishing communities.
Our tour begins with a scenic drive along the Atlantic coast, passing through the cosmopolitan suburb of Sea Point and Camps Bay with its glorious views of the Twelve Apostles, part of the Table Mountain range.
We'll continue to the fishing village of Hout Bay, one of Cape Town's best-kept secrets. Here there is an option to take a short boat trip to Duiker Island (for own account & time permitting) to view the Cape Fur Seals, which inhabit the island.
From here we travel to the Cape Point Nature Reserve, comprising over 17,300 acres of indigenous fauna and flora. Here we can see a variety of wildlife that includes baboons, Reebok, Cape Mountain zebra, bontebok and the elusive eland. The reserve is also one of the world's largest breeding grounds for tortoises. Birdwatchers, too, will find many fine species to observe.
The majestic coastline offers drama worthy of being called "Nature's Greatest Show." We'll be able to see the union of the Atlantic and Indian Oceans (as per legend) and may even feel the brisk wind that is dubbed the "Cape Doctor" for its presumed curative powers.
Following the coastline along False Bay, we'll return to Cape Town by way of Simon's Town, where we visit the Penguin colony at Boulders Beach (for own account), Fish Hoek fishing village and Muizenberg.
We return to Cape Town, passing the University of Cape Town, Rhodes Memorial, and the Groote Schuur Hospital.
Includes: Cape Point Gate and Chapmans Peak
ON SAFARI - 9 TO 12 FEB (3 NIGHTS)
You’ll stay in a tented suite overlooking a bend in the seasonal Monwana River, in the Greater Kruger area. Your deck has its own plunge pool and a view over the riverbed, where you can sit and watch for movement in the bush between outings.
You’ll head out early with your guide and tracker, looking for fresh tracks and keeping an eye out for elephants, lions and leopards as the bush wakes up. After breakfast back at camp, there’s time to cool off in the pool before setting out again in the late afternoon, when the light softens and animals begin to stir.
You can also arrange a guided bush walk. On foot, you’ll have time to stop over a set of tracks, listen for bird calls and notice the smaller details you might pass by in a vehicle.
