Guiding level and safari comfort is at its best. The big 5 lives here and you get to see them at almost every game drive: your ranger and tracker will do anything to make your dreams come true when it comes to animals sightings but while they chase your dreams, they are prone to share incredible knowledge and story telling on the nature and wildlife around you. Singita is also investing on anti poaching patrols, allowing guests to see their K9 unit dogs and learn about what is being done to control rhino poaching.

Dinners have the most beautiful atmosphere, rooms have a fresh plunge pool and linen bed sheets, a desk with drawing material for those who get inspired to paint, and an occasional leopard visit. The food is the healthiest you can ask for on safari, the wine cellar deserves a proper visit, as well as a does the spa or the yoga room. Londolozi is as iconic as it is historic when it comes to safaris in South Africa and for lots of reasons: location wise, this is the heart of Leopard action and people usually come here to see them. Chances are very high that this happens. This is also a privately owned piece of land belonging to the famous Varty family who continues to live on site and whose books and adventures can be read, told and shared when you are there.

The story of the property is connected to South Africa’s evolution in time, both because it was where Mandela came after he left prison but also because it represents the evolution of the safari industry throughout the times: this is now a famous land for (wildlife) photography but for many years it was mainly visited for hunting purposes. On site you have your photographic studio and will be assisted to use it, as well to learn more on how to take pictures of your favorite animals.

Photography equipment can be rented, classes can be given and you are almost sure to spot lots of wildlife while your ranger will help you set your camera so you can get that shot. This is a place that now offers 5 different lodges to stay at, 3 of them carrying the Relaix & Chateaux badge with excellent dining and wine variety. Staff is young, informal, friendly and easy to access. This is a perfect destination for families, for people who value the relaxed ambiances, good food and value all comfort amenities in the African bush: Spa treatments are insane and your gym is fully equipped too.
