MARTA 50TH IN KENYA

10 to 17 June 2027 (7 nights)

Dear Best-Friend,

If you’ve landed on this page, it’s because I’d love for you to be in Kenya with me, exactly one year from now, for one unforgettable week. Why? Because you mean a great deal to me. And because I’m turning 50.
If I was ever going to celebrate this milestone anywhere in the world, it had to be in Africa… which probably doesn’t come as a surprise.
For this very special week, I’ve picked one of my favourite corners of Kenya, a lodge that feels like home, a family that means a great deal to me, breathtaking landscapes, extraordinary wildlife and those endless African skies that somehow put everything else into perspective.
Most of all, I wanted to gather the people I’d love to have beside me for this moment.
There will be safaris, a few surprises I won’t tell you about just yet, unforgettable moments and, hopefully, plenty of laughter.
My wish isn’t simply to celebrate another birthday. It’s to welcome a new decade in a place that has given me so much, surrounded by the people who have given me just as much.
There will only be 20 of us, and the spaces are all to ourselves.
W i l l y o u c o m e ? I truly hope you’ll say y e s.
This one will be one for the books, you’ll see.

DEPART TO KENYA: JUNE 10 EARLY MORNING. NOTE: You must arrive on June 10th!

NAIROBI - 2 nights: 10 and 11 june

In Nairobi, we will have a full day to explore the city: from some of its best restaurants, galleries and boutiques to the Karen Blixen House, with a few more ideas along the way.

LAIKIPIA - 5 nights: 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 JUNE

Nestled within a private conservancy in the heart of Laikipia, this is one of the places that means the most to me in Kenya. Family-owned for generations, it feels less like a safari lodge and more like being welcomed into someone’s home, where every guest is treated like an old friend.

Of course, the wildlife is exceptional. Lions, elephants, leopards and an extraordinary diversity of wildlife thrive across the conservancy. But what makes this place truly special isn’t only what you see, it’s the way you experience it. Walk through the bush with expert guides, ride horses across the plains, spend time at the shamba, practise yoga overlooking the wilderness, go for an early morning run, visit a local artist’s atelier, learn a few Kenyan recipes, meet the neighbouring community, lend a hand on the farm, try your luck fishing, spend a night fly camping, head out with the camels, fly to visit an elephant orphanage, enjoy fascinating conservation talks, savour unforgettable bush breakfasts and end your days around the campfire beneath an endless sky of stars. There is always something new to discover.

I wanted you to experience this place because it represents the kind of Africa I have fallen in love with over the years. An Africa where people know your name, where conservation is part of everyday life and where luxury is measured not by extravagance, but by space, extraordinary nature, time and meaningful moments shared together.

I have no doubt this will become one of those places we’ll still be talking about years from now. And I can’t think of a better place to celebrate turning 50 than surrounded by wild landscapes, wonderful people and some of my favourite humans.
