NATERCIA FAMILY TRIP - KENYA - AUGUST 26

NAIROBI - 2 NIGHTS - 15, 16 AUG

UP NORTH - 4 NIGHTs - 17, 18, 19, 20 AUG

Welcome to Samburu land, one of the most fascinating and least explored regions of Kenya. Within easy flying distance of some of the country’s most spectacular wilderness areas, this is a destination that truly deserves a place of its own.
Still family-owned, there is a good chance you will share a breakfast or dinner with the patriarch, gaining a rare insight into life in northern Kenya through the stories and people who have shaped this remarkable place. The conservancy is managed by the Samburu community, allowing for meaningful encounters in their villages and, if timing permits, the opportunity to witness some of their ancestral traditions.
The experiences here are endless: camel rides, horseback adventures, visits to the vibrant Samburu market and what is, in our opinion, one of the most extraordinary helicopter excursions in Africa. Only by air can you access the remote corners of northern Kenya, where a single day can take you from flamingo-filled lakes to dramatic desert dunes.
Despite its arid landscapes, this is one of the few places where you can maybe observe two of Africa’s most endangered species: the reticulated giraffe and Grevy’s zebra.
Why have we chosen this place for you? Because very few destinations combine such extraordinary landscapes, wildlife, culture and human connections. There is a distinctive energy here that is difficult to describe and impossible to replicate.

THE MARA - 3 nights - 21, 22, 23 AUG

Nestled along the Mara River, within a private estate on the edge of the Maasai Mara, this is much more than a safari lodge: it is one of Kenya’s most inspiring rewilding success stories.
What was once intensive farmland has gradually been restored to its natural state, allowing wildlife to return and thrive once again. Today, this landscape is home to wild dogs, leopards, a resident lion pride and an extraordinary variety of species.
Expect a gentle immersion into East African life, hosted by a warm and welcoming family and a team that will take care of every detail. Activities include game drives, accompanied bush walks, sundowners, visits to the rhino sanctuary (at an additional cost) and opportunities to discover life beyond the safari itself.
Why have we chosen this place for you? Because it perfectly embodies the future of conservation in Africa. Here, local Maasai families, cattle and wildlife coexist through a thoughtful and sustainable model that benefits everyone involved.
This is exactly the kind of project we want to support and share with our travellers. Here, children can run freely through endless open spaces, understand the importance of protecting nature and witness magnificent animals exactly where they belong: in the wild.
